GINGER A DEUX
(This elegant little pup chose his new home on August 27, 2005)
Ginger a Deux was born at 6:50 am. He weighed just 11 ounces. He was, and still is the smallest puppy. But this is not a runt. A runt puppy is misformed...like a dwarf. This pup is perfect in all his proportions. He is just a bit smaller than the rest!
As a tiny baby, every day, I would be sure to take Ginger a Deux and his other smaller brother, Fuzzball, out to have an extra feeding all by themselves. The two gained weight steadily, several ounces every day. Even now, he eats like a horse!
He is all black, just like his mama, but with a tiny white triangle on the back of his neck. It's all he could manage for a white ruff! This will probably disappear in time. He has white toes, just like Mama. His adult coat will be heavy and smooth. All together, this is an elegant little man. He will probably weigh in at about 45 pounds, which is fine for an Aussie.
I think the eyes are going to be brown, or maybe a deep amber, like Ginger's.
He will be a very flashy, unusual Aussie, because his gold is going to be very bright, the black very dark, and the big white male chest mane that he will get at about age two will set everything off.
Ginger a Deux is a very observant, intelligent little boy dog. This morning, some of the other pups pushed aside some roof tile that lines the inside of their playpen. Ginger a Deux got under the fence, pushed the outside timber away and crawled through. He then turned around and started to dig a little hole for his bigger brothers. I foiled the escape!
He wants that piece of hamburger!
