First Girl

This pup has chosen her new family.  Maybe.

FIRST GIRL

"First Girl" was the first born pup.  After 23 hours of waiting with Ginger, she finally grunted a bit, and out First Girl came!  She was born at 6:05 AM, on July 8, 2005.  She weighed 12.3 oz. First Girl is trim, and perfectly proportioned.  She has spunk, and a loving attitude.  When she was first introduced to her daddy, Max, he performed the "play bow."  She bowed in turn, and then bit him on the nose! Once in a while, when I put them to bed, she is not quite ready to go down, and needs about 15 minutes of extra loving.

First Girl will be a little Aussie.  Not a mini, as that is a different breed.  But smallish.  Maybe 35-40 pounds, dripping wet.  She is close coupled, a perfect square at 8 weeks, and will be very good in agility and Frisbee work.   She has a very sweet disposition, but can be quite lively when she is in with the other pups.  By herself, she loves to sit on my lap and just hang out with me.

She is a Black Tri, as you can see.  The gold will deepen.  I went back and found Max's baby pictures, and his gold was light like this too.  Now his gold is quite pronounced.  Her ruff goes all the way around, and forms a little point at the back, going back up her head.  Her blaze stops, like you see in the first picture.  First Girl is almost a carbon copy of her daddy.  She will have the same tight feet and the same thick outer coat as he does, which makes it great for dealing with foxtails and rough brush.  She will be very difficult to part with, as she reminds us all of our very first Aussie, Diamonte.

I think she may have blue eyes!  (At this later writing, I am leaning more towards amber.)
