FAT SISTER

This pup has chosen her new family.
Fat Sister is not fat, really. She has a habit of spreading herself flat on her tummy, with her little puppy legs stretched out behind her, and so she looks wider than the other puppies, but she really is not. She is about the same size as most of the pups, except for Tank One and Tank Two. She is larger than Fuzzball, Ginger a Deux, and her only other sister in this litter, First Girl.
Fat Sister was the first to make it out of the litter box, before we raised the sides. She would get out for an early morning chat with her Daddy. Fat Sister was also the first one to find the little hole in the fence around their outdoor playpen. She was the one who most frequently asked for a few more minutes of laptime before she went off to sleep at night.
She is calm, but inquisitive and daring. Both the girls were people pups from about week three, almost as soon as they could see.
Fat Sister was the seventh puppy, born at 10:15 AM. She weighed 12.8 ounces.
It had been over an hour since the last puppy, and I felt Ginger, and she felt the same on both sides, no lumps. So I called the vet and made the three day appointment for tails and dewclaws, and told them we had six puppies. Then I laid Ginger down, and put all six puppies on top of her, so they could all nurse. A few minutes later, with no warning, out slithered another puppy! I think Ginger might have missed her, had I not been there to clean her nose and mouth.
Then I felt Ginger again, and could feel that she was not the same on both sides. So I laid her down again, put all seven pups to her, and waited. An hour later, came the eighth puppy!

I let her lick the hand that held the hamburger!
